Representing a sporty style with technical features abound, this Breitling Chronomat.
Why we love it
The Chronomat, inspired by the Frecce Tricolori chronograph created with the famous Italian air squadron in 1983, celebrated Breitling's 100th anniversary. It marked the comeback of mechanical chronographs, which have always been central to Breitling's reputation as a leading watchmaker.
The signature elements that make a Chronomat recognisable are vividly present in this reference. The characteristic riders make an appearance on the unidirectional rotating bezel that comes mounted on a 42mm case featuring the onion-shaped crown and a transparent caseback. Its well-designed, legible dial in ice blue featuring textural variety narrates a story of contrast with luminous markers and handset. The three chronograph counters exhibit functionality along with a tachymeter scale around the outer rim and a discreet date aperture at six o'clock. How about the hallmarks? The Breitling logo and B-detailed seconds hand complete the dial. This reference sits comfortably on the wrist via a robust rubber strap.
Facilitating the smooth chronograph complication is the column-wheel automatic movement - Breitling 01 with a vertical clutch. With 70 hours of power reserve and 200 metres of water resistance, this Breitling Chronomat is functionally brilliant.
This Breitling Chronomat PB0134101C1S1 has visible nicks on the bezel and case. The caseback and clasp have scuffs too, while the rubber strap is in good form.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
