A bold reimagining of Cartier’s aviation heritage, the Santos 100 W20091X7 fuses timeless elegance with modern masculinity.
Why we love it
This Cartier Santos 100 W20091X7 is a striking interpretation of the iconic Santos design, originally created in 1904 for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. This model features a robust 41mm case crafted from a harmonious blend of stainless steel and 18k yellow gold, exuding both strength and sophistication. The signature square bezel, adorned with eight exposed screws, pays homage to the original design while adding a contemporary flair.
The silvered opaline dial showcases bold black Roman numerals and luminous blued steel sword-shaped hands, ensuring legibility and style. A discreet date window is positioned between four and five o'clock, maintaining the dial's symmetry. The chronograph is powered by the automatic Cartier calibre, offering reliable timekeeping and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours.
Complementing the case is a luxurious brown alligator leather strap, secured with a folding clasp in matching steel and gold. The watch is water-resistant up to 100 metres, making it suitable for daily wear. Discontinued and increasingly sought after, the Santos 100 W20091X7 stands as a testament to Cartier's enduring legacy in watchmaking.
This Cartier Santos W20091X7 has visible scratches on the bezel and case. The caseback and clasp have scuffs as well. The leather strap is in good form.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
