It’s a robust stainless steel version of the covetable Franck Muller Vanguard, and there’s nothing we don’t love about it. Bringing a recognisable design language, this Vanguard V 45 SC DT AC NR AC fuses the nautical nature of the watch with an aesthetically-pleasing format to create a head-turning timepiece. Mounted atop the dial is a curved sapphire crystal that adds to its legibility by leaps and bounds. The fine brushed finish that mirrors the rugged surface of the case is also added to the dial, perhaps for a feeling of balance. Further, the flaring numerals dictate the dial design and are well complemented by the matching handset, while the date aperture at six establishes the watch’s practical character.
