This Grand Seiko toasts the power of minimalism.
Why we love it
The Grand Seiko SBGH201G stands as a testament to the brand's dedication to precision, craftsmanship, and timeless design. Part of the Heritage collection, this model embodies the core values of Grand Seiko, combining high-performance mechanics with elegant simplicity.
At the heart of the SBGH201G lies the renowned Hi-Beat 36000 calibre 9S85, a self-winding movement that beats at an impressive 36,000 vibrations per hour. This allows for remarkable accuracy, rated to within +5 to -3 seconds per day. The 55-hour power reserve ensures reliability, making it a functional masterpiece for daily wear. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, offering enthusiasts a glimpse into the intricate artistry of Japanese watchmaking.
The SBGH201G features a 40mm stainless steel case, polished to perfection using Grand Seiko's signature Zaratsu technique, which achieves distortion-free mirror finishes. Its white sunburst dial is understated yet captivating, with razor-sharp indices and hands coated in Lumibrite for excellent legibility in all lighting conditions. The bold yet minimal design ensures versatility, whether paired with formal attire or worn casually. A stainless steel bracelet with a three-fold clasp completes the design, providing both security and comfort on the wrist.
This Grand Seiko Heritage SBGH201G has light scratches and dents on the case and caseback. The bracelet and clasp have scuffs too.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
