Aviation heritage meets modern engineering in this IWC — a timepiece that seamlessly combines cockpit-inspired design with contemporary functionality.
Why we love it
Encased in a 43mm stainless steel body, this IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph IW378003 features a striking sunray-brushed blue dial, complemented by luminous Arabic numerals and rhodium-plated hands for optimal legibility. The chronograph sub-dials are strategically positioned: a 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock, a 12-hour counter at nine, and a small seconds sub-dial at six o'clock with a distinctive red hand. A day and date display is conveniently located at three.
Powering this timepiece is the IWC-manufactured calibre 69385, an automatic movement operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, offering a 46-hour power reserve. The movement is visible through a see-through sapphire caseback, showcasing its intricate mechanics. The watch is water-resistant up to 100 metres, ensuring reliability in various conditions.
Completing the design is a calfskin strap equipped with the IWC EasX-CHANGE® system, allowing for effortless strap replacement without additional tools. The combination of robust construction, functional complications, and elegant aesthetics makes the IW378003 a versatile companion for both aviation enthusiasts and watch aficionados.
This IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph IW378003 has light nicks on the caseback, while the leather strap is in satisfactory form.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
