A watch that invites a rare moment of calm in a busy day, this Portofino balances elegance, endurance and mechanical purity.
Why we love it
IWC Portofino Eight Days IW510104 offers a refined take on classic watchmaking with its 45mm 18k red gold case and a slate-grey dial that feels both timeless and contemporary. It features a manual-winding movement that delivers eight full days of power reserve, meaning the ritual of winding it once a week becomes a small pleasure rather than a chore. The dial layout is clean and graceful with a small seconds sub-dial at six o’clock and a discreet date window at three, allowing the gold hands and applied indices to shine without distraction.
Through the sapphire caseback you can admire the calibre 59210, complete with fine finishing and the inscription of its power reserve displayed on the dial. A dark brown alligator strap adds a final touch of heritage charm. The IW510104 stands out as a watch that dresses effortlessly, invites mindfulness and honours IWC’s craftsmanship in one beautifully composed package.
What you should know
This IWC Portofino IW510104 has visible scratches on the crystal and case. The caseback and clasp have nicks as well. The strap shows signs of use.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
