Omega launched a distinctive iteration of the Planet Ocean in 2016 called the Deep Black. This watch, reference 215.92.46.22.01.001, followed the success of the Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon and expanded the brand’s exploration of ceramic as a core case material. The Deep Black took that concept into the world of professional dive watches, offering a fully integrated black ceramic case and dial punctuated by striking accents.

It retains the 45.5mm width shared with other Planet Ocean GMT models, alongside key features like the helium escape valve at 10 o’clock, an exhibition caseback, and 600 metres of water resistance. The dial is crafted from the same black ceramic as the case, with 18k white gold arrow hands, an orange-tipped seconds hand, and a matching orange GMT hand. The 24-hour scale sits on the chapter ring, and a date window is positioned at three o’clock.
