This Speedmaster takes the legacy of the iconic Moonwatch - the first watch worn on the moon - forward. A horological masterpiece it is!
Why we love it
A watch whose legacy is closely tied to the history of space exploration, Speedmaster is a horological marvel that certainly put Omega on the map. A steady, dependable partner in space, Speedmaster is an even more reliable ally on land. Gone through a throng of iterations over the years, the Speedmaster collection proffers a bevvy of watchmaking techniques, styles, and functionalities.
Concurring the aforesaid is this Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch reference 310.30.42.50.01.002, inspired by the 4th generation Speedmaster worn on the moon. It features a pared-down design and amazing technical details. The body of the watch is comprehensively made in stainless steel for a robust look. Available in size 42mm, the case of this reference is on the heavier side with a twin finish - satin and brushed. It is furnished with familiar lugs, a black tachymeter bezel, pump-style pushers sitting in symmetry with the crown, and a well-designed skeleton caseback.
On the black-hued step dial, the three sub-dials are arranged in a horizontal configuration. Safe inside the case is the Omega calibre 3861. A manual-winding system, the movement carries the Co-Axial escapement and promises a power reserve of 50 hours.
This Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional 310.30.42.50.01.002 has minor nicks on the case and caseback. The bracelet and clasp have scuffs too.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
