The Panerai Radiomir GMT brings Panerai’s military heritage and travel-ready functionality into a bold package that blends vintage roots with modern convenience.
Why we love it
The Panerai Radiomir GMT PAM00999 uses the classic cushion-shaped steel case in a size that feels substantial yet balanced at 45 mm. It honours the brand’s 1940s origin with polished surfaces, wire-style lugs and a domed sapphire crystal that evokes vintage design while remaining robust for daily wear.
Its matte green sandwich dial nods to Panerai’s historic military watches. Legibility is strong thanks to oversized lume-coated numerals and hands that remain easy to read both day and night. The dial combines GMT functionality, a 24-hour indicator, date display and small seconds — essentials for a traveller or anyone juggling multiple time zones.
Inside, the automatic calibre P.4002 brings modern mechanical reliability. The movement uses a micro-rotor automatic winding system with a bidirectional rotor and twin barrels to give roughly 72 hours of power reserve, merging compact form with practical endurance. A sapphire display caseback lets you appreciate the movement’s finishing and the micro-rotor’s operation.
With 100 metre water resistance and a rugged leather strap, the Radiomir GMT PAM00999 embodies versatile confidence. It carries forward Panerai’s legacy of military-grade instrument watches, adapting it to contemporary needs while preserving the brand’s unmistakable identity.
This Panerai Radiomir GMT PAM00999 has scratches on the case, caseback, and clasp. The leather strap has signs of use.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
