Defined by a minimalist, monotone look, this Rolex Datejust – that brings plenty of novel elements on display – is synonymous with refinement and style.
Why we love it
Adorned on the wrists of behemoths like Martin Luther King and Winston Churchill, Rolex Datejust also made its cameo on the big screen in classics like American Psycho. The association of a Rolex with historical figures positioned the brand's timepieces as more than just a watch but a symbol of power.
You too can own a slice of history and pop culture with this Datejust 36. It is made in Oystersteel and white gold, featuring a slate dial bearing luminous hands, green Roman numeral markers, and a Cyclops-lensed date window at three o'clock.
The case is affixed with Rolex's signature fluted bezel, which originally served a practical function ensuring water resistance, but now it's seen as a mark of distinction for the brand. The Twinlock screw-down crown also helps with the water resistance at 100m. Additionally, it features the iconic Jubilee bracelet with five links, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of the watch. The self-winding calibre 3235 generates a power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
This Rolex Datejust 126234 has visible scratches on the case and caseback. The bracelet and clasp have nicks as well. Overall, this Rolex watch is in good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
