Time’s Grand Theatre: The World’s Most Celebrated Watch Events

In the mesmerising universe of horology, a select few international watch events serve as the grand theatres where time itself is honoured with unrivalled artistry and devotion. These global watch events transform ordinary convention halls into temples of mechanical poetry, where the rhythmic pulse of fine craftsmanship resonates through halls filled with connoisseurs and visionaries alike. These gatherings are sacred hubs where collectors revere, journalists jostle for the first glimpse, and watchmaking boundaries are redefined.

Watches & Wonders

The Watches & Wonders fair, formerly the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), has claimed its title as one of the foremost international watch events. Established in September 2022 by Rolex, Richemont, and Patek Philippe, the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation (WWGF) is a non-profit foundation based in Geneva. In 2024, Chanel, Hermès, and LVMH joined the founding members of the WWGF Foundation Board. Their mission is to promote watchmaking globally through events, with Geneva as their flagship location alongside Shanghai.

Geneva Watch Days

Geneva Watch Days was born from necessity as the world endured difficult times during the COVID-19 pandemic, instituting a new paradigm for global watch exhibitions. Launched in 2020 in response to the cancellation of traditional trade shows like SIHH and Baselworld, this decentralised concept quickly created a firm place on the horological calendar, bringing together a selected consortium of brands across some of Geneva’s most prestigious hotels and boutiques. Founded by six avant-garde brands, namely Breitling, Bvlgari, De Bethune, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie., and MB&F, Geneva Watch Days is spearheaded by Jean-Christophe Babin of Bvlgari.
