Zenith champions the art of recreation with this Chronomaster Open that embraces the ingenuity of the original and elevates it with modern refinements.
Why we love it
This 42mm Chronomaster is encased in polished stainless steel and distinguished by a rich blue sunray-patterned dial, featuring the hallmark overlapping sub-dials at three and six o’clock. At 10 o’clock, an open aperture offers a view into the high-frequency beating heart of the iconic El Primero 4061 automatic movement—one of the world’s most accurate chronograph calibres, operating at 36,000vph and delivering a 50-hour power reserve.
The chronograph function includes a 30-minute counter, 12-hour counter, and central seconds hand, all accentuated by red and silver-tone accents for legibility and contrast. A domed sapphire crystal covers the dial, while the transparent caseback reveals the movement's intricate finishing and column wheel architecture.
Secured by a blue alligator leather strap, the watch is water-resistant to 100 metres, merging sporty resilience with horological sophistication.
This Zenith Chronomaster El Primero Open 03.20416.4061/51.C700 has minor nicks on the clasp while the leather strap is in good form.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
