Girard-Perregaux introduced the Laureato in 1975 as one of the founding references in the elegant sports watch category, with an integrated bracelet and an in-house manufacture movement. The Laureato Fifty is the 50th anniversary edition, limited to 200 pieces and built around Calibre GP4800, introduced specifically to commemorate the milestone. The 39mm stainless steel case carries a sapphire crystal on both the front and the caseback, the octagonal bezel continuing the Laureato's original proportions.
The sunray grey dial carries a Clous de Paris pattern with gold indexes, gold-plated in 3N with luminescent material. Against the grey surface, the gold tone of the indexes sits in considered complement to the 3N yellow gold capped links of the integrated bracelet, the warmth of the gold running from the dial through to the wrist.
This Laureato Fifty 39mm, Reference 81008-63-3412-1CM, has visible scratches across the bezel, case, caseback, bracelet and clasp, yet it remains in good condition.
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
