The black and blue Cerachrom bezel is the 116710BLNR's defining feature, with its two-colour ceramic construction resistant to scratching and UV fading. The bidirectional 24-hour graduated bezel combines with the dedicated 24-hour hand to display a second time zone, with the hour hand independently adjustable for local time without stopping the movement. The 40mm Oystersteel case carries a Triplock screw-down crown and water resistance to 100 metres, the standard specification for the GMT-Master II line.

The black dial carries Chromalight hour markers and hands with long-lasting blue luminescence, the date sitting at three o'clock under a Cyclops lens.
